Standards for Maintenance of Membership in the Ontario Professional Foresters Association

Draft Standards for Maintenance of Membership prepared by the Membership Standards Committee* and presented to the membership at the 2001 Annual General Meeting in North Bay, were approved by Council on September 28, 2001.  Following discussion at a series of regional Section meetings, and some reworking, the standards came into effect at the beginning of the 2001/02 Association year.  Implementation of the membership maintenance program then became the responsibility of the Continuing Education (CE) Committee

On February 2, 2004 Council reviewed a number of recommendations from the CE Committee, the main thrust of which was to simplify the Association's guidelines for continuing education. Council approved the recommendations and a By-Law revision was subsequently approved at the Annual General Meeting in Thunder Bay on April 30, 2004 bringing the new guidelines into effect.
