Regulation for the Code of Ethics
INTRODUCTION
Bill 110 Section 52 deals with the power of the OPFA
to make regulations. The section identifies the subjects for which
regulations are to be made as well as some specific aspects of process,
review, cost and distribution.
It has been identified that the “essential” regulations
are to be in place once the Act is proclaimed, therefore the OPFA
needs to prepare drafts of those regulations considered to be ‘essential”
for review with OMNR, so that they can be included with the proclamation
process. OMNR would like to receive the final drafts from the OPFA
by the end of December 2000.
THE ISSUE
A regulation identifying the Code of Ethics of the
Association is required. At the Annual General Meeting of the Association
in May 2000, a revised Code of Ethics was approved by the membership.
Given that the membership of the Association reviewed and commented
on the draft approved at the Annual general Meeting, additional
discussion of the Code is not considered necessary.
