New Guidelines in Forest Management Practices

These replace the Environmental Assessment Guidelines that were put in place in 1994.

FSC Announces Policy for Group Chain-of-Custody Certification [Oaxaca, Mexico: February 8, 2002]

   The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) today announced new policy guidelines to facilitate Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification of groups of small wood-harvesting, processing, and retail operators. Group CoC certification is intended as a tool to facilitate greater access to the FSC certification system by mitigating audit costs as a barrier to participation.
