The Foundation
The Ontario Professional Forestry Foundation was established
on Dec. 5, 1985 and to date is the only provincial charity
dedicated to providing support for education in professional forestry
in Ontario.
The Foundation is run by a board of directors and
an appointed Secretary Treasurer. Two directors are appointed by
OPFA Council and the remaining 3 as well as a President and Vice
President, are elected by members of the Foundation. The current
board is composed of OPFA members and others of various backgrounds
and all are volunteers dedicated to the cause.
OPFF
2005/2006
Donations are always welcome and continue
to be received from OPFA members and friends. This year the focus will be to obtain the
targeted goal of $70,000 from forest industry leaders.
We are confident that their participation
will allow the Foundation to identify, formalize and sponsor programs
that support students in their endeavour in becoming Registered Professional
Foresters. We look forward to a productive year. Keep checking for
updates!
